Née à Montréal en 1971, Sylvie Mercier développe très tôt une passion marquée pour les arts visuels. Dès l’âge de 16 ans, elle remporte un premier prix en dessin figuratif, qui lui vaut une première exposition en galerie. Depuis, la création est devenue le cœur vibrant de sa vie.

Artiste maîtrisant autant la peinture à l’huile que l’acrylique. Elle se démarque pour son amour profond des paysages hivernaux à la thématique des skieurs en action, tout autant que les paysages d’été qui mettent en lumière les journées radieuses de voiliers suivant les aventures en mer, que les chevaux imprégnés de douceur et inspirés par l’élégance. Ses œuvres, éclatantes de couleurs et d’énergie, capturent le mouvement et l’instant, tout en révélant un univers à la fois poétique, vivant et légèrement déjanté. Son style singulier séduit autant au Québec qu’à l’international, notamment en France, où plusieurs de ses toiles ont trouvé preneur.

Depuis six ans, Sylvie collabore avec divers monts de ski québécois pour mettre en valeur leurs chalets à travers ses œuvres signées SMercier, et participe à de nombreux événements culturels et caritatifs. Plusieurs de ses tableaux ont été offerts à l’encan pour soutenir des causes locales. Elle a également établi un partenariat créatif avec les skis Ferréol, intégrant leurs modèles dans ses œuvres afin de fusionner l’art et le sport d’hiver d’une façon aussi originale qu’élégante.

Elle a exposé en Estrie, à Montréal, à Québec, ainsi que dans les Laurentides, où son art continue de rayonner.

Aujourd’hui, à travers ses explosions de couleurs et son univers vibrant, Syl Mercier vous invite à plonger dans son monde et à vous laisser inspirer. Maintenant représentée à Toronto à la magnifique galerie Mountainside dans les stations de ski et de villégiature de Collingwood, ainsi qu’à St-Sauveur à la galerie Céleste, chez qui la réputation n’est plus à faire.

Born in Montreal in 1971, Sylvie Mercier fell in love with art at a young age. At just 16, she won her first prize in figurative drawing, which led to her first gallery exhibition. Since then, painting has become her passion and her way of life.

An artist skilled in both oil painting and acrylics. She stands out for her deep love of winter landscapes featuring skiers in action, as well as summer scenes that highlight sunny days with sailboats following adventures at sea, and horses imbued with gentleness and inspired by elegance. Her works, bursting with color and energy, capture movement and the moment, while revealing a world that is poetic, lively, and a bit quirky. Her unique style appeals both in Quebec and internationally, particularly in France, where many of her paintings have found buyers.

For the past six years, Sylvie has been working with various Quebec ski resorts to showcase their chalets through her SMercier-branded artworks and takes part in numerous cultural and charity events. Several of her paintings have been auctioned off to support local causes. She has also established a creative partnership with Ferréol skis, incorporating their models into her artworks to blend art and winter sports in a way that's both original and elegant.

She has shown her work in the Eastern Townships, Montreal, Quebec City, and the Laurentians. Now represented in Toronto at the beautiful Mountainside gallery in Collingwood ski and resort areas.
